There’s just a few criteria you need to meet for us to be able to install your EV chargers. Permission isn’t required to install a wall-mounted EV charger on owned property, but if you’re renting the business property you’ll need to get written consent from the owner prior to installation. It’s important that you have a sufficient electricity supply to charge an EV, or multiple EVs. There are a few helpful government schemes available that reduce the cost of EV charging point installation for businesses; including the Workplace Charging Scheme which reduces the cost of EV charging point installation for businesses, plus grants for Small-to-medium-sized businesses. There’s also an EV Salary Sacrifice scheme that works by allowing employees to make a pre-tax payment for their EV. This payment is deducted from their salary before tax and National Insurance contributions are calculated.
