Recommendations 

Due to the chargers being located across multiple floors, we recommended installing a central distribution on the middle floor from the ground floor switch room. This would reduce the length of cable runs from the distribution boards to the EV charge points, as well as reduce the amount of sub-distribution boards needed. The EV charge points were to be installed across multiple floors. With the absence of WiFi or a wired network in the car park, the EV charge point would need to rely on a 4G network and cloud based dynamic load balancing. For chargers, we recommended Zaptec Pros, which would allow us to run a single supply cable to each EV charging area and loop to each additional charging point in the area, utilising 4G LTE sim and cloud-based load management system.

Installation 

Whilst other circuits shared a common supply to feed 5 to 6 EV charging points, one standalone charging point needed to provide a superfast charge, so was wired with its own 22kW supply. This ensured that the charging point could utilise maximum power, independent of the other EV infrastructure we had installed.
