How far can an EV travel on a single charge?

We’ve all heard about the excellent and ever-improving mile ranges of EVs, but how far can an EV travel on a single charge?

In the UK, 95% of all car journeys are less than 25 miles, meaning your EV has you covered for your day-to-day commute. But what about a day out further afield? Depending on the model, the average distance an EV can travel on one charge is around 100 to 300 miles, which can get you to some pretty fun places (and back) without worrying about running out of juice. 

With a home EV charging unit, you can charge up overnight so you’re ready to hit the road in the morning. It’s estimated that a full 200 mile range charge at home costs just a little over £15, as slow charging overnight takes advantage of lower electricity prices. By charging overnight you’re also doing your bit for the planet, by helping to balance the electricity grid.
