Two becoming one is a win-win!

For Cathy Corr and her new business partner, Karl Gooch, the Mr Charger franchise opportunity ticked all the right boxes for them to grow a customer-centric EV business.

Cathy and Karl had successfully worked together, previously. In each other, and based on what they know of how well they worked together, both felt they’ve found the ideal business partner for the new venture. Since discovering Mr Charger franchise, Cathy and Karl have spent time before they open, agreeing on a vision for their Mr Charger business. They have an audacious goal to become the number one Electric Vehicle (EV) business for customer experience in the UK. “What’s great about working with Karl is that we have different leadership qualities,” Cathy says. “Because of this, we bring compatible business skills to the table”

Something Karl agrees is the best way for the new partners to build their business. “I could see our collaboration will naturally split our hands-on contribution and expenses. This means we can double our budgets on sharing the big costs, achieving a bigger bang for our buck. EV’s are most definitely the future, with more and more car manufacturers turning their long-term goals in that direction.

As with most areas of the UK, there’s an increasing desire for EV, which Cathy and Karl have seen in their locality. “We did a fair bit of research to understand our growth potential. There are many influences steering people toward EV, and there’s so much potential for us to grow, as people start to make the switch. We’re both experienced in sales, so have already refined our strategy to attract the right customers, including those who will benefit from our annual maintenance package, and the commercial channels we will be focusing on, as we seek to hit our KPI’s and expand our business.”

Both Karl and Cathy are aware of the importance of having a customer-centric approach, for the success of their business, “We have a wealth of experience in dealing with customers,” Karl explains, “the company we worked for was passionate about excellent customer service. So, this is what we want to build our Mr Charger business around. We have high-standards, and will be inspiring our team to pride themselves on offering the best service they can, with every installation they do.”

Cathy and Karl have a determination around how to grow their Mr Charger business, and already have their sights set on the future. “We have a clear roadmap of what we want to achieve, and the steps it will take for us to achieve them. We’re already thinking ahead, so we can invest in a second territory – this is one of the key strengths of the Mr Charger business model. We have high hopes for our
Mr Charger, especially as EV’s becomes more prevalent as we head toward 2030 and the Government’s planned switch to electric driving. There’s so much to look forward to, plus we have the added bonus of supporting each other, and leaning on the expertise of others, within the Mr Charger network.”
